My career in facilities management started in the mid 90’s while working in the Maine State Park System. Since then I have moved in and out of the private and public sectors until I ended up at the University of Southern Maine. I started as a Grounds Supervisor at USM, moved to the Assistant Director for Grounds and am now the Assistant Director for Maintenance and Operations. I am a strong believer in educating myself to become a more valuable member of whatever team I am on and I believe organizations like APPA provide that training. I have attended many of our chapters meetings and received two scholarships to attend APPA’s Institute of Facilities Management.   Overall, I have attended the General Administration; Operations and Management; Architecture and Engineering tracts in the Institute and look forward to completing the last tract. I have been so impressed with the NNECERAPPA that I wanted to become involved with the organization.
